Chryso Ndasingwa released his debut Extended Play, ‘Wakinguye Ijuru’ and so he alerted the gospel music lovers of more coming song projects.

Ndasingwa is a Christian in the New Life Bible Church and a music teacher in Africa New Life Ministries. His real name is Jean Chrysostome Ndasingwa, a musician who plays guitar as he sings along.

‘Wakinguye Ijuru’ is a five-song Extended Play that was released in early 2022. One can get it via different music platforms and the songs on it are; ‘Mu Bwihisho’, ‘Wakinguye Ijuru’, ‘Ndakwihaye’, ‘Byararangiye’ and ‘Niwe’ ft Fidel Niyo.

He said, “My recent debut Extended Play, is available on digital selling platforms. It emphasizes the best that was done on the cross and all about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alongside what the believer receives as by accepting to be a Christian.”

Some of the challenges and strengths that he faced in this music industry. “Since I started, I have faced so many challenges like discouragements and those who always tell me that I went the wrong way. However, there are some who supported me and were disappointed that I waited too long to start. Those and the fans who love what we do and relate to the message that we give in our songs, are our support systems and because of them we can’t stop doing this,” said Ndasingwa.

When asked about the changes he ought to bring if he can he said, “There are some changes that I want and I wish to be the one who brings them. I would strengthen the bond between the gospel singers into supporting each other and urge them to study music and playing instruments such that they can at least do 40% of their music projects.”

He shared some of the songs which are helping him spiritually; ‘Warakoze’ by Prosper Nkomezi, ‘Icyambu’ by Israel Mbonyi, and ‘Niho Ndi’ By James & Daniella.

After this EP, Ndasingwa is planning to do media tours and visit various churches as well as another EP if God wishes. He confirms that the Rwandan Gospel industry is elevating with new talents and the media is so supportive.

The changing industry ; The gospel industry is changing. What used to be a genre based upon Christian principles with lyrics that preached about the love of Jesus Christ, salvation, and redemption is now an industry that has been largely taken over by mainstream secular music. The change in content within the gospel industry is a direct reflection of the changing cultural landscape in the United States. With an ever-diversifying population, the gospel industry is seeking to reach new listeners by incorporating sounds and styles that are more popular among young people.

Gospel music has been around for centuries, with some of the most well-known and iconic performers in the industry starting out in gospel. However, in recent years there has been a surge of gospel artists making the switch to secular music–here are five reasons why.

GREATER FLEXIBILITY AND CONTROL OVER THEIR MUSIC.

Secular music offers gospel artists more flexibility and control over their work. With fewer restrictions on lyrical content and a wider range of sounds and styles to choose.

Gospel music has been around for many years. It is music that is written and performed to express religious or spiritual ideas and emotions. However, there are many gospel artists who are now changing to secular music. Here are five reasons why:

1. Secular music pays more than gospel music.

2. Secular music is more popular than gospel music.

3. Secular music is more mainstream than gospel music.

4. Secular music is more versatile than gospel music.

5. Secular music is more lucrative than gospel music.

Conclusion.

There has been a recent trend in gospel music artists transitioning to secular music. While some believe this to be a sign of the times, others feel that it compromises the values of the gospel genre. Do you agree? Let me know in the comments below.

Catholics All-Stars worked with Aline Gahongayire one of the very big talents in the gospel music industry and they remixed ‘Byose Bihira Abakunda Imana’ which was initially sung by a Nun, Febronie Kamana.

Kamana shared with Inyarwanda.com that she wrote this song after having several conversations with people and finding out that everyone has some problems and battles to fight in life. She said that the saints have lived the same life with battles, but still they made it out and become the saints. From such, she decided to write that all is well to people who love and trust in God.

When asked what she think about Aline Gahongayire and the Catholic All-Star doing the remix of her song she replied, “It is so nice since we are all serving the same God and as it appears in the word of God, there is no discrimination. We all have to spread the good gospel that all is well to those who love and trust in God.”

As it is shown in the local media houses that Aline Gahongayire managed to talk to, she revealed how this is not only an honor but also a blessing to be featured in expanding the work of God and spreading the gospel to as many people as possible as well as worshiping the Almighty.

To some people who commented that Aline Gahongayire is parting ways from her church she said, “I am not discouraged by those bullying. We are all serving the same God and praising not satan. Joining the gifts we were given for free in worshiping our God is such an amazing collaboration ever. I call upon you all to sing with us that ‘All is well to those who love and trust in God’ instead.”

She added that she is always available to whoever wants these kinds of features. Since she is doing as she was trained to do; ‘To serve God in both truth and spirit’.

The founder of Catholic All-Stars, Emmy Pro shared how he found a big gap in gospel music, especially catholic songs and so he decided to bring innovation via modern instruments. Therefore he formed ‘Catholic All-Stars’ in which individuals and singers from different choirs come together to do some remixes or create songs that praise and worship God.

Collaborating with Aline Gahongayire came after ‘Niyeguriye Nyagasani’ in which they collaborated with Man Martin. All these will be followed by several others since they are also aiming at creating a strong bond between the gospel singers as long as they are Christians, regardless of the churches they might be from.

A worshiper, DIANA KAMUGISHA released a song dubbed ‘Yahweh’ which calls everyone to praise and thank God by using the musical instruments and singing for him all the thanksgiving. She also revealed the secret that helps her to stay real as ‘Diana’ which is to praise and worship the Lord.

‘Yahweh’ came after another song that has been there for a month, from which she got inspiration in Psalm 91. Both songs have something in common, that is ‘Word of wisdom from Psalm’.

In the first verse of ‘Yahweh’ which is in Psalm 33, Diana sings, “There is no king who get to be saved by the big number of his soldiers, heroes are never saved by their power. A horse has no use when it comes to saving someone, God’s eyes are set on those who respect him.”

In an exclusive interview with Inyarwanda.com, Diama Kamugisha shared that her new song has a message to tell people that they don’t have to fight for themselves in whatever they go through, instead they should leave it for God since his eyes are on those who respect him. “This song is bases on this first verse. Because, God fight all our battles. It is not our energy, wealth and belongings as well as the people in our connections that keep us alive, it is the eyes of Almighty set to those who respect him,”said Kamugisha.

She revealed that her life secret which always helps her to stay real until now is to praise and worship God. She urges everyone to trust and confide in God, praise and worship Him with they whole life since that hold the secret, “My power as Diana are from praising and worship the Almighty God. I call up on you all people of God to learn the secret in worshiping God since that is where the real wealth is.”

When asked why he said “When I started music, I wanted to share what was in me but I had no long term plan in the music industry since I had some other personal projects. The more I release songs, the more people love my messages and so I started to get some invitations for concerts and in various churches until now I haven’t managed to attend them all. I was welcomed with love wherever I managed to attend and to my utter amazement, they knew all my songs. Based on all those various requests, I decide to do vast concerts where people can come to attend them. I prayed hard for it and so my heart urges me to do something big. With the management team that helps me to plan, we agreed on doing ‘IKIMENYETSO TOUR’ in different states in America.”

An Australian-based Rwandan Gospel Artist, Charles Kagame shared a brand new song ‘Umuzingo’ in which he reminds people to never forget what God has done for them.

He starts by showcasing that ‘Muzingo’ is a book that contains all the past memories of the best God has done to people but later they turn their back and stop serving him.

Kagame is the mind behind songs like ‘Amakuru’ that has taken gospel music by the storms where more than 550k people have watched it on YouTube.

When asked what inspired him to do ‘Umuzingo’ as it appears on Inyarwanda, he said that ‘The idea came to him when he was thinking about the way people show off and blag about their wealth and high profile people with the respect they possess instead of praising the Lord, Jesus Christ.

He added “This song contains some message of calling all the people around the world to only blag about having known Jesus Christ. Since he is the one who responds to the prayers and changes our lives.”

As a pick in the song, Charles Kagame sings, “Here is the open book (Umuzingo) that I am writing to you. It contains the past history. There is a line that says ‘Remember all the mountains we climbed with sorrow and difficulties…The step of betraying the promise you made with heaven has started even since you forgot when you prayed at. The sun of blessing has shined for you and so instead of praising the provider, you showed off and praised yourself. Blagging about wealth and big names of the earth has nothing to do with those who are struggling in life…”

A journalist and comedian, who goes by the name of Taikun Ndahiro and an Actor and Comedian best known as Umukonyine are some of the characters in ‘Umuzingo’ video. ‘Lifehouse Church’ which is located in Coffs Harbour City-Australia; that is where Charles Kagame goes and so he does the preaching via songs.
