Chryso Ndasingwa on his EP and the change needed in the Rwandan Gospel industry

Chryso Ndasingwa released his debut Extended Play, ‘Wakinguye Ijuru’ and so he alerted the gospel music lovers of more coming song projects.

Ndasingwa is a Christian in the New Life Bible Church and a music teacher in Africa New Life Ministries. His real name is Jean Chrysostome Ndasingwa, a musician who plays guitar as he sings along.

‘Wakinguye Ijuru’ is a five-song Extended Play that was released in early 2022. One can get it via different music platforms and the songs on it are; ‘Mu Bwihisho’, ‘Wakinguye Ijuru’, ‘Ndakwihaye’, ‘Byararangiye’ and ‘Niwe’ ft Fidel Niyo.

He said, “My recent debut Extended Play, is available on digital selling platforms. It emphasizes the best that was done on the cross and all about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alongside what the believer receives as by accepting to be a Christian.”

Some of the challenges and strengths that he faced in this music industry. “Since I started, I have faced so many challenges like discouragements and those who always tell me that I went the wrong way. However, there are some who supported me and were disappointed that I waited too long to start. Those and the fans who love what we do and relate to the message that we give in our songs, are our support systems and because of them we can’t stop doing this,” said Ndasingwa.

When asked about the changes he ought to bring if he can he said, “There are some changes that I want and I wish to be the one who brings them. I would strengthen the bond between the gospel singers into supporting each other and urge them to study music and playing instruments such that they can at least do 40% of their music projects.”

He shared some of the songs which are helping him spiritually; ‘Warakoze’ by Prosper Nkomezi, ‘Icyambu’ by Israel Mbonyi, and ‘Niho Ndi’ By James & Daniella.

After this EP, Ndasingwa is planning to do media tours and visit various churches as well as another EP if God wishes. He confirms that the Rwandan Gospel industry is elevating with new talents and the media is so supportive.
