He said that everything he wrote in this song is what he went through in his life and he remembered the word "God Did". "It's a word I like to use a lot when someone compliments me or praises me for something as a way of honoring/worshiping God," he said.

He added that this song is about worshiping God or about love because he was thanking God for giving him, Linda. He said that everyone has a loved one, he dedicated it to his lover, but first, he sang it to his lover, and then they gave it as a gift to all lovers.
