The night of Friday, November 25, is one that gospel music lovers in Kigali will remember, thanks to a thrilling experience of praise and worship they had at the Hillsong London concert. The contemporary gospel music band was singing in Rwanda for the second time, having held their first concert in the country in 2019. Just like previously, the show took place at the Kigali Arena, attracting thousands of people who were treated to performances by local and international musicians.

Veteran gospel musician Aime Uwimana and South African singer Benjamin Dube did a great job with curtain-raising acts before Hillsong London hit the stage by around 9:30 pm.

The UK-based band sang the fast-paced 'This is real love and 'This is living now,' two songs that were sure to stir the crowds and set their performance off to a brilliant start. As usual, many fans who turned up for the show were well-versed in Hillsong's tracks, a factor that made the concert quite enjoyable, as the fans were on their feet singing along with the musicians for most of the time.

Famous songs like "Mighty to save," "From the inside out," and "Broken vessels" were some of those that had the crowds lift up their hands, raise their voices, and participate in the beautiful experience of gospel music.

Hillsong London was on stage all the way to almost 11:30, not only singing but also sparing time for brief preaching aimed at inviting those that had not yet made a decision to believe in Jesus to do so.

The concert is one of the gospel music events lined up as the year winds up. More shows will follow in the coming days, including Travis Greene's on December 8, at Camp Kigali, and Israel Mbonyi's at the BK Arena on Christmas.
